Fairy Tattoos

Helping to introduce tattoos into the mainstream

A few years ago, it was very rare to see a woman with a tattoo. Most of us had a stereotypical view of what a woman with a tattoo would look like or what part of life she may come from, it is most likely that this image was not a flattering one. So it's interesting to point out that women represent a massive growth area for tattooists, why should this be?

Well the short answer is an obvious one; if it was rare for women in general to have tattoos, it is clear the addressable market is quite large. But what was the spur that accelerated the growth of tattoos in young women from being a rarity to the norm?

One reason is the advancement in technology that allows for much greater and detailed designs. For example, the common fairy tattoo theme is a fine piece of body art, it can be applied quite quickly and it can tick the boxes most women have as their criteria for fashion accessories, it's beautiful, it's feminine and it is a talking point. The fairy tattoo has really helped to drive the adoption of tattoos in young ladies.

Fairy tattoos are usually applied to the lower back, shoulder area or in cases of daring, the upper thighs. Most of the time, women request smaller fairy tattoos, preferring the cuteness of a smaller tattoo over a much larger piece of body art. In general, a fairy tattoo is a very feminine design which can also be connected to spiritual and mystical thoughts. It is our belief that fairy tattoos will continue to grow in popularity for the foreseeable future.
